THEORY:  if the body is covered in a shroud of microscopic aliens Even though some would be gained from the contaminated water some would be washed off in the shower.

TEST: to test this theory small pieces of tobacco were sprinkled on the shower basin around the drain. This video is what happened to those pieces of tobacco. Please note that there seems to be some sort of jet coming off this pieces of tobacco providing an unknown source of propulsion
